Eli Uttal-Veroff is a multi-genre bassist, educator, and bandleader. He has been a member of the Lexington Chamber Orchestra since their second concert. In 2016, he composed The Lingering Thought, in honor of his grandparents for the Lexington Chamber Orchestra.
In addition to his work with LCO, he can be found performing at Carson’s Food and Drink, were he is both a regular performer and the musical director. His ensembles, UV Music Group and Grupo LexiSamba, perform regularly in Lexington, as well as in Ohio and Indiana. In one of his most recent endeavors, he was a founding member of Origins Jazz Series, a collaboration between venues, local businesses, and concert organizers that brings national acts to Lexington, KY.
Mr. Uttal-Veroff has earned degrees from Butler University (B.A. in Applied Music) and the Eastman School of Music (M.M. in Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media).
