Jeremy Maytum, a native of Colorado, is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Percussion Performance at the University of Kentucky, where he studies with Jim Campbell. He received his Master’s Degree in Percussion from Colorado State University, studying with Dr. Eric Hollenbeck. He regularly performs with the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra as a substitute percussionist, as well as a member of the newly-formed percussion quartet blueSHIFT. Recent performances include appearances with The Kollective chamber ensemble and as a featured performer at the Outside The Box New Music Festival in Carbondale, IL. He is also on percussion staff with the 18 time KMEA State Champion and 2-time BOA Grand National Finalist Lafayette High School “Pride of the Bluegrass” Marching Band and perennial BOA Finalist Adair County High School Marching Band. As an international performer, Jeremy recently finished a week-long residency at Inner Mongolia University in Hohhot, China, as well as performing on timpani as part of the Prague Summer Nights Music Festival in the Czech Republic.
